I Have to Tell You a Few Things
We live in a world of expectations. We have routines and can be very resistant to change. That resistance is rooted in our desire for security. However, the desire for security can allow us to place burdens (expectations) upon ourselves and others, both consciously and subconsciously.
I said I needed to tell you a few things. These things are needing to be said to avoid the creation of expectations. Maybe you have a blog that sends you daily posts. I won’t. I want the heart of this blog to be the fellowship that develops in the comments. Rather than post after post bombarding you with daily content, I want each post to breathe. I want them to evolve and grow because of the community that chooses to engage here.
In this ongoing conversation, we have started with one another; I will have revelations and impressions from the Lord that may differ from yours, but those differences need not be a hindrance to what He is speaking. Instead, the joining together of your revelations and mine will create a fuller image of His grace.
The prophetic nature of the Holy Spirit is one of the many great mysteries of our Lord. The works and plans He has for each of us during our journey here on Earth are unique. They are tailored specifically for our individual strengths and weaknesses.
Therefore, please place your expectations only on Our Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Please remove me, yourself, and all those congregating on this blog from your expectations. Seek that He will allow me, you, and the others we encounter to be nothing more than vessels used to serve Him and speak the encouraging words He places upon our hearts and minds.
When our expectations rest only in Jesus and His finished work, we develop compassionate hearts with a desire to serve. I hope that you will choose to serve in this community by way of being a fearless encourager and voice that proclaims His redemption.
